Founded in 1995 by Mr. Taher, the trust supports poor students by helping them with the paying of their school tuition fees and by also helping with the buying of books and clothes essential to their progression within their studies. The trust has helped a countless number of student both males and females get the education that is vital to all children’s lives. The trust was started in helping bridge the gap in making sure no child is deprived of an education as Mr. Taher believes education is a key social and cultural right and plays an important role in reducing poverty and child labour. He is also dedicated to addressing food insecurity and promoting good nutrition through various initiatives. These initiatives include food distribution programs, community gardens, nutrition education and partnerships with local farmers and food suppliers. Through food distribution programs, Mr. Taher aims to ensure that vulnerable populations, such as low-income families, children, and the elderly, have access to nutritious meals. By collaborating with local food banks, shelters, and community centres, the foundation helps provide essential food items and supplies to those in need. Mr. Taher distributes food, sleeping bags and winter clothes to homeless people every year especially during the winter season where life on the street becomes excruciating for those who don’t have a roof over their heads. During the pandemic of 2020 Mr. Taher, with the help of others, aided in supporting the homeless in and around London handing out over 100 brand new sleeping bags along other support provided to make their lives a little bit easier.
